Last trip ruined by a snorer. Any earplug recommendations?

On the pitch next to us there was a snorer who kept good time from 10.30pm-8am.

As a result I got very little sleep.

I took my usual foam ear plugs but have never realised how bad they are at blocking out low frequencies. They seem much more effective with higher frequencies. What type of ear plug should I invest in before we go again?

Ive only ever tried tesco ones they and were pretty good.. do you think you could sleep with earphones in? I have ones that slant to my ear shape and you cant even feel them with your head on the pillow i listnen to Binaural beats they are amazingly relaxing and put me right to sleep, my partner when he snores shakes the bed! but the beats drown him out even on a low volume so i can sleep through it xx

Wax ones are muchbetter.

wax or silicone - you have to mould them in your fingers until they're squishy, & then ram them into your ears - they're very effective! Boots have wax, & bodycare (& other places I imagine) have silicone. IME you only need half a wax one in each ear.

I have a fairly deaf ear due to earwax build-up & find that playing something sleep-inducing on phone under pillow on hearing-ear side, with deaf-ear on top, helps; you could do that with wax/silicone plug in top ear instead (but don't roll over)

Thanks!

Not sure about sleeping with earphones in - what about the wire?

I do roll about in my sleep so would need both ears to be fully plugged - I'll have a look into wax ones and bioears.

Go to one of the more 'wild camping' type sites where there are
No set pitches and generally people are miles apart.

(You may have compost toilets, no hot running water etc, but it will be more peaceful)

Quiese wax earplugs. They're very affective (get them squishy then wiggle them until you have a vacuum) but they get a bit wet if you wear them all night. Despite this, they're still the brand I use (DH snores loudly) because they're so effective
