Ok so trying to plan ahead and save money for summer day trips etc.. me and the ladies where thinking a night with our 4 girls camping (tents) maybe loch lomond area as its only a 30 min drive but any close by area really! just depends on the site, not looking for discos or evening entertainment or anything special! shower facility and an outdoor playpark would cover all our needs! ive had a look and found a couple of places but just thought id ask incase anyone has any recomendations, we live in inverclyde and looking at close by cheap areas, thanks xxgrin Jenni

Try a search on UK Campsites website:

www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/

And beware the midges!

Try Luss?

It's right on the Loch, nice site, can walk to village etc

Resipole on the Ardnamurchan peninsula. It is one of my favourite places in the world. Also, you're not far from Tobermory, where Balamory was filmed. You're not far from Glenfinnan, where Bonnie Prince Charlie landed & where the Harry Potter viaduct is.
The best thing about it though, is the unspoilt and very beautiful Loch Sunart; the Corran Ferry is just amazing.
Do have a look online.

Sunart is lovely. Loch Lomond is v. Busy and luss is lovely but right next to a v. Busy road
