France night time temperatures

I will be camping in France for the first two weeks of August with dh, 3yo dd and 7mo dd. Just wondering how cold it will get at night so I can plan what to dress the girls in at bedtime, especially the baby. We'll be staying near Annecy, the Drome valley and then the Provence region, inland about an hour from Nice. Anyone have any idea? Thanks!

Could be very different nighttime temperatures. The Alps can be chilly (day times too) depending how high you are. Expect Provence to be seriously hot, day and night, . You're main challenge will be keeping sun off such young ones I suspect and enough fluid going in.
Never took children to the Alps in summer but I've camped there but several trips to S France with 4-9 yr olds. Loose cotton clothing worked. Easily rinsed and dry in minutes. If the campsite has a freezer, stock it with litre bottles of water and have a cool bag you can store ice and other food/drink in. About the only time mine wanted to come shopping as the supermarkets had ac.
Good luck. I'll try and remember more suggestions if you like.

Thank you Tamy, great suggestions. I'm ebf my baby and hoping I still will be when she's 7mo. I can't face the thought of using bottles while camping! I must remember to put gazebo or something similar on our packing list so that we have shade.
