Not sure if this is the right place but can't see a caravanning section...
We have a twin axle superstar and we want a full awning for it. Any recommendations for the best type to go for? Brand etc as am a complete beginner where awnings are concerned
Also where best to buy?
Thanks

We have bought our Motorhome Awnings from Camping/Motorhome shows. The Newbury Motorhome one each May has loads of second hand vehicles as well as all the accessories available, so usually at least 3 stalls of awnings all up that you can walk around and T a good show discount price.
We like the inflatable awnings, so quick to put up, but I suppose with a caravan you stay longer at each place so it's not such a problem? May be worth googling for shows in your area?

Good idea. I'd like to see them in action as if were
Our caravan stays on a site all year round so once it's up it'd stay up til the end if the season

Campsites themselves are also good for a nosey at what other people have, and most people invite you to have a look if you show an interest.

Our awning is a Kampa brand, (not a full one because we've found we don't need one that big most of the time) And I would recommend it. The main bonus is that it is much easier to put up that our old Bradcott awning. There's a reason why awnings are referred to a "the divorce in a bag!!!" Easter Grin.
If it's staying there all season then you really need to make sure the canvas and poles are really decent and buy some extra storm straps to hold it down in windy weather. One like our Bradcott would probably be really good for you. Isabella are the brand leader which is code for most expensive.
