Can anyone recommend a campsite in North Norfolk? And has anyone stayed at Deepdale or High Sand Creek? Planning a last minute get away!

Hi Bert2e. We've stayed at both. Deepdale is popular, nice site although gets busy. Good cafe and shops nearby. Set back from the coast but easy to access beaches via the main coast road. High Sand Creek also nice, closer to the sea although not easy to access it on foot (vast, beautiful mudflats). It is sited right on the coastal footpath, nice but reasonably long walk to Wells. There is a regular coastal bus service if you fancy walking one way and coming back by bus. Good pub in the village.
Both are quite low key campsites, fairly basic facilities but clean from what I remember.
Another one I really like, further inland near to Holt is called Baconsthorpe meadows. Might be less booked up than the other two as not as near the sea. Plenty of space, quiet, nice (small) children's play area. Easy walk to fab ruined castle, ideal for picnicking. Holt is an attractive market town.
Enjoy North Norfolk!

Our friend love Kelling heath as they have a static up there. I think it is a bit like middle class butlins though Grin

We've stayed in a pod at another site whose name escapes me right now, but Google it as the pods are fairly rare. Gold something? Anyway, it was a lovely little place with a fenced off lake in the middle and the sound of peacocks to wake you! Nice little play area and shop too. Will Google the name now as it's annoying me...

Deers glade (well, it had a g in it!) It does tent pitches too, not just pods.
