Alternatives to cadac/cobb

We're sticking to our double ring gas burner for our holiday to France. We had contemplated buying a cadac because we aren't allowed to use a charcoal BBQ down in Provence where we are staying so was examining different options.

Can anyone make any other suggestions for bbq'ing? To be clear, we will also be spending a week or so in a gîte and we cannot use a bbq'ing there. Anything electrical spring to mind?

I've seen people on Facebook talking about a teppenyaki electric grill. I've never used one, but it might be an alternative. There's one coming up in Lidl I think.
