Electric cool box?

DH and DS1 are going camping next weekend and there is nowhere on site to keep food fresh.

Is an electric cool box a good thing, or should he just suck it up and either buy fresh or tinned stuff?

I've invested in an electric coolbox that can also be powered by car battery. Our sites have EHU but we are doing short stops so the coolbox will be right handy for butter, juice, fruit etc.

Of course, no EHU means the box will be useless.
