Low camping chairs - any recommendations?
(8 Posts)Hi, I'm after low chairs -preferably something that could be used in a crowd at a festival that won't piss off people sat behind! Anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance.
We use something like this: www.amazon.co.uk/Highlander-Outdoor-Seat-Blue/dp/B002WUJC5U
Ours were from Decathlon and have lasted several festivals and beach trips, but I don't know about the quality of the ones in the link above. Their advantage is that they are very lightweight and of course you aren't off the ground so can't annoy anyone.
When ours give up the ghost I quite fancy these: www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B001HMLUAE/ref=pd_lpo_sbs_dp_ss_1?pf_rd_p=569136327&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B002WUJC5U&pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_r=1RZV8KRMHQZRFXHXMVK8
A bit pricier but I like that they roll up.
Thanks Frozen! Are they comfy and forgiving on your back?
Oh very yes. They are made of padded fabric so comfortable for your back and bottom - no head rest, of course, but pretty good as an alternative to sitting on a picnic rug cross legged.
Admittedly neither DH nor I are massively tall (though I am quite porky and still find them OK). DH finds them a godsend - he finds sitting on the ground very uncomfortable.
We have the second ones linked to and they are fine, take a bit of core strength but tiny and very light for our canoe.
We have these in our weekend camping kit

Now about 15 years old and like new. I know that the are from the U.S. but if you can find a similar design I would recommend them.
I just remembered these (as I sit outside music lessons killing time). Have always liked the look of them but am too tight to pay £10 postage.

Thought about getting one to try when we bought the wooden ones but didn't.
Thanks for the links - think i will go for the highlander outdoor ones
