I'm going 'camping' with my daughter next week, in a camping pod. I've been camping plenty of times before, but never with a toddler Shock

any hints/tips/packing suggestions. The weather is due to be awful....

we're planning on going camping with 4yr old and 9/10month old baby this summer so watching for tips.

So far I've got on my list a good waterproof suit to let them crawl and toddle around in the grass without getting damp.

We've see to stay in pods when the dc were younger. Check what is supplied as some have absolutely nothing and you will have to take your whole camping kit. We used to take blackout material to stick over the window!

Travel cot if you can fit it. Good for playing in and sleeping. Hat. Lots of snacks

Have a plan on how to keep things like knives/matches out of reach. Carrier bag tied high up on something is a good idea - think butchers hooks/large pegs.

Umbrellas for trips to the loo when you don't want to bother with raincoats.

Picnic rugs for the floor will make it cosy which helps when the weather is damp.

Have trugs/bags etc for things like wellies to keep them out of the pod, or at least by the door.
