Do I actually need these drawers?

My camping obsession has well and truly kicked in. Got my eye on a Cadac, am looking for a windbreaker, and general little boxes etc to keep the place in order.

Saw some mini plastic drawers thatI thought ideal for cutlery. Another drawer for cutting knives. And a third drawer for.... I don't know what! Do I need them?!

No you definitely do not need them , you don't need anything that you can't fill imo.

Buy little boxes - they will be more durable, you can buy the size you need for the things you need it for and just buy two .

I find the best camping gear, is the sort that is used for both travelling and when on site. So, if the drawers are small enough that they can fit in your car, and whisk out on site to form your 'kitchen' without building them or taking things from one place to another then you need them. It cuts down on the 'faffing' time.

I have a 2 tier cake box plastic thing from Lidl. In the top tier is cutlery and 100 odd sod bits- matches, duct tape, sewing kit, small screwdriver set,you name it. In the bottom tier travels wash up liquid, tea towels, foil etc. It travels in 1 piece, but then on site I place each tier on a shelf of the kitchen stand. The top acts as a table top placed over a stool, or upturned it's a very nice tray to have a cup of tea on when I'm laying in the bedroom pod.
