Vango Beta range

Anyone have a Vango Beta? would you recommend it? or something else a similar size? I am looking at either the 450 or 550 as there is me and 2 growing DC, edging towards the 550 as that is standing height inside. I want to upgrade our tent as the one we have isn't great quality (but we were given it, it doesn't owe us anything) but I don't want to spend a fortune as we only get chance to camp a few times a year max :( (kids with xH every other weekend, weather, and we spend all of August abroad at my parents house) It needs to be something I can put up by myself with a bit of help from the DC and pack up fairly small.

They look really good value.
Definitely get the 550XL for the head room.
It looks really easy to put up, you will be able to do it on your own - and Vango are god tents, it has the 'tension band' system that makes them sturdy and good in wind.

My 450 is great,except for the headroom like you said,but I haven't used it for long enough yet for that to be an issue,tension band system is great,my tent hardly moved in high winds where my sisters almost collapsed

I have a vango Icarus, which looks similar, and we love it. We invested in a footprint and carpet which makes it so cosy

I don't know about the quality of their tents but you might want to take a look aldi special buys on Thursday 25 June. They have a 5 man tent going then. I can't link for some reason. Sorry.

We have a vango Avington 600 and ut is fantastic. We paid £300 for it including the footprint. Didn't bother with the carpet but might get one at a later date.

if anything it was a bit bigger than we needed as there is just 3 of us. Saying that it was good to be able to spread out our stuff.
