We live in London and after a disappointing trip to view some tents today, I am keener than ever to look at bell tents. However, i don't dare to just buy a tent online without having actually seen or set foot in one.

Where in and around London, HERTS or Essex can i find a dealer that has bell tents pitched? Than you!

You can arrange to see them at Soul Pad in Norfolk - train to Thetford from Liverpool St I think, not sure where they are from the train station but a friend looked at them there before buying.

could you hire one for wk/end to try out? I have seen a few on ebay listed by people for hire for aorund £25/wk/end (not in London so may be more expensive near you)
I am thinking of doing this so we could actually camp in one for wk/end to get a good feel for it before committing.

Hiring one is a great idea pop. Many thanks lavender, I wouldn't mind a trip to Norfolk and will check their website.

If you can pop down the M20 to Maidstone there's a big tent show on until mid July. They have 6 bell tents in various sizes pitched there. And they have some pretty good offers on too

That brilliant rhubarb. Is it this one community.cotswoldoutdoor.com/stores/maidstone/Events/tent-show-2015/2761/ ?

That's the one! I've only been 3 times so far...

rhubarb, thank you for your suggestion, we went o the tent exhibition! its was great and i fell in love with one of the Soulpad 5m tents.

They had an offer which included a stove, so exciting. However, I am quite keen on having a fly net so am looking at www.karmacanvas.co.uk/bell-tent-5m_new.

Any views on the linked to tent would be very much appreciated.
