Looking for somewhere that may still have availability for summer hols. Needs to suit young family with play park and good facilities and near to beach. Any ideas please? Loved the sound of Tollgate farm but it's all booked up Hmm

Gwithian farm is lovely and very friendly. Near to a great beach, cafes etc.

We've been to Hendra at Newquay for the last couple of years & are going again in August.

Huge pitches, great shower/toilet/wash up facilities, plus a club house, evening ents (horribly cheesy but DD enjoys it), shop, fish & chips & pizza places, indoor & outdoor pools, organised activities, play area and about 3 miles from Fistral Beach.

Treloan on the Roseland. Amazing v family friendly. Animals to feed etc but not a smelly site.

What do you want? Can recommend loads but may not suit.. What are you looking for in a site..

There is a lovely site at Porthtowan walking distance to a beach, Veryan is inland but a huge great big field for DCs to roam...Perran Sands is a holiday park but clean and walk to a great beach.

We are local and still camp loads for hols and weekends. We like Trevedra in Sennen, Coverack, Henry's on the Lizard (if you can book in), Sandymouth near Bude, Pentewan Sands, Kennack Sands and widemoith Bay Have good facilities for little ones.

South Coast beaches safer for little ones and the water is warmer to swim in, so look at the Roselamd, Falmouth and Lizard.

Pentewan Sands is good because it is on the beach but has an indoor pool with small slides. It also has an indoor bar and restaurant, soft play, tennis courts and a bit of the usual dodgy evening entertainment. It is near a village with a pub that you can eat at and also has a nice beachside bar/restaurant. Nice 30min walk along cliff top into Mevagissy (or bus or car 5 mins away). Massive pitches too.

Padstow Touring Park in Padstow is fab...we went there a few years ago and going back this year.

Another vote for Padstow Touring Park. It's quite busy, but we didn't feel squished in, never had to queue for showers / washing up / laundry. Small shop and play park on site. It was our first week-long camp and not too traumatic.

We're also going back this year catsrule Smile
