Thanks, will be off to get one of those. Have just booked a campsite that allows fires in firepits Smile

Bollocks just ordered one last week! I'll see what it's like and might well go for one of these instead...

Hmmm..I'm about to order one from somewhere else to try it but I'm so tempted by a bargain!! I'm wondering how good it can be for £20 though but then again their £15 nonstick pan is what I use for most of my camping meals and has now made it into the kitchen for pretty much every day use too!!

I'm banned from buying it - spent a fortune on camping stuff and promised I was done.
I'll have to live vicariously through you all Sad

Can that only be bought on Thursday?

I need one of those.

jaketweeney - it isn't primarlit camping gear though, is it? I am buying mine for use in the garden when we want to sit out a bit longer or have a BBQ....

Well, and camping, perhaps.....

Ooh. I want one. But we so do not have room in the kit van for another group firepit for live roleplay events...

Aaah good point Charm, I can try for 'garden equipment'. It can be bought after Thursday (if they've still got them) but it won't be in store before.

Yes jake, I have sold it to DH as for the garden :o

TBH most places we have camped have supplied fire pits to save their grass so it's not an untruth really

I bought one this morning.

Haven't unpacked it yet, but the box feels very light.

Also bought a bag of American Style Toasting Marshmallows - which look very like all marshmallows, but a bit bigger.

Me too CharmQuark! They're very clever in Aldi - marshmallows next to the firepits! I can't wait to try it out at home first before we go camping.

Have bought, opened and tried mine today and it does what it is meant to do Smile

The legs fold so it will be a little more compact in the car for taking to campsites.

It should be fine Smile

We are sitting round it right now, logs a blaze, right now, enjoying the longest day . Seems good.

The Aldi American marshmallows dripped off the sticks though .

Ooooh I want a fire pit! Though as a rule, do my best to not go to campsites where you can't have an open fireGrin

MegBusset · 22/06/2014 22:50

Gah, no sign of these in my local Aldi :(

We have just ambled indoors from ours- 'twas very good though suffered from a lack of holes underneath to give the fire an initial bit of oomph. Once lit it was amazing and DH and I are agreed that for £20 we would be happy if it lasted one summer :o
