Less than 2 months to go! Who's excited?!?!?!?

We go straight to France from CB too, so I'm doubly excitable Grin

We're (DH, DD and I) are booked to go. Have Glastonbury by myself first though, think that the excitement level will go up once that is out of the way!

Are you in standard camping? I'm toying between that, camping plus and boutique at the moment...

We're going! It'll be the first time I've camped at a festival and I'm beyond excited. It's me, DH, DS who is 3 and DD (2) and we're going with some friends with a similar set up.

We'll be in camping plus as I was worried about arriving late with two littlies (coming from work on the Thursday).

People have said awful things on here about festival camping and I'm now worried about people pissing on the tent!

Me me me! :D

First time at a festival with 2 DSs and my Mum! We have booked boutique as our normal tent is huge and would be nightmareish to take down if it's wet. DSs are 9 and 6 and getting v excited already...

Yayeee! It's our 3rd CB, we did 2011 and 2013. We'll be taking two DDs 7 and 2. We're in Camping Plus, we like the extra space and having a reserved pitch next to our friends, the nicer toilets are a bonus too.

If you're thinking of booking camping plus, I suggest you get cracking, there's not many plots left...

We booked before the line up was out and it's a bit like time repeating itself - James were one of the first bands I saw with, together with a friend from school - and now that friend and our families are all off to camp Bestival and will be seeing James again!

As I said, I'm seriously, seriously excited. I've made some bunting for the tent/wagon and have some paper pom pom things for the tent. I could still do with getting some ear defenders for the DC, some fairy lights and glo sticks. Where do I get glo sticks from?

(and can someone tell me that no-one will piss on the tent!) (or if it's likely as I will take the old tent)

My other half is v excited about James too!

I got a load of glo sticks off Amazon, the kit that makes the necklaces, glasses etc. Still have loads left so they'll be going again this year.

I strongly doubt your tent will get pissed on! Advantage of camping plus is that there's designated lanes for people to walk along and lots of loos, so there really shouldn't be the need to piss on your tent!

You can get glo sticks from 99p shop at the moment!

I'm very glad about the pissing on tent opinion!

(off to the Entertainer for glo wands)

For anyone thats been before who has done Glastonbury, how does the standard camping area compare?? Are tents on top of each other or is it possible to create a bit of space outside your tent for a bit of a sitting/eating area or do u have to go camping plus to be assured of this??

I went to camp bestival the past two years. Not going this year as 3 kids on my own is too much Sad We stayed in standard camping, turning up on the Thurs (not early though). Nobody ever came anywhere near pissing on our tent...not that sort of place really. Plenty of space for tents/eating areas but if you want a flat pitch you have to turn up early. Lots of spaces on the side of a hill Grin We had 5m bell tent plus awning...lots of space. I've been to Glastonbury when I was younger...it is NOTHING like that. Re pound shops...get loads of those glo bracelet things...they are great for finding your kids in the dark. And you must, must, must stay for the son et lumiere fireworks. People leave before them and they are missing the best bit. They are truly fantastic- I can't explain here as I would bore you but honestly they are the acest thing ever. Take toilet roll and that hand sanitiser stuff and you'll be fine.

No pissing on tents at CB!

You will have to do a lot of walking if you want to be away from the main area and if you arrange your area you'll have plenty of room.

have a wonderful time, not going this year :(
