Best SIM? (have never used them before!)

Hi there,

We have always used airbeds but now have decided to get SIM's but are unsure of what is best? We will have singles each, so that we can sleep wherever (if children need separating!)... The questions below are relating to adults:

Are the 10cm thick ones more comfortable?
Wider ones better as there is more room?
An specific recommendations please?

Am looking forward to your advice - this is something we have no experience of, so don't want to make a mistake buying the wrong thing. TIA Smile

the airic ones by alp kit are well regarded, thermarest are good but a bit pricey, vango do a good range. To be honest I don't think there is that much in it. People say even the Aldi ones are good. I sleep in the campervan now but we used to have a thermarest and a multimat SIM. Thicker mats are more luxurious but also more bulky so depends on your requirements. Best bet is to go to somewhere like go outdoors and check a few out yourself or even better got to a local camping shop and get advice. So glad you are planning to move back from the dark side though, airbeds are June dark side.

Thanks! We have just bought Gelert 10cm SIMs - hopefully they will be comfy when they arrive.

We're half price on (although a strange colour), so hopefully a good buy!
