3 man pop up tent

DH would like one, he has a bigger tent already but wants a smaller one to take the DCs to a festival.
I know nowt about tents.
any recommendations? I was looking at a Vango 300 something? any brands to avoid? TIA

If your DH wants a pop up try the Decathlon website: www.decathlon.co.uk/C-359120-pop-up-tents. They have a big range - Quechua is the brand name. How is he getting to the festival though? Popups come in a disc shaped bag and so can be more awkward to carry than traditional tents.

They have rucsack style straps for carrying, though - but that means the space for an actual rucksac is taken up.

I've got a really big Quechua (4 berth) that I use by myself. It has a bedroom, a living area and a storage area. It's still a pop up and it's fab, I get big-time tent envy off other people when I use it. The only downside is the 15 minutes of all-in wrestling to get it down and into bag at the end, which people find quite comical to watch, but doesn't take me any longer than my previous dome tent as you don't have to poke all the poles out.

They are a funny shape and quite heavy at that size, but I still use mine at festivals among other things, by rolling it along the ground next to me instead of carrying it. They are shaped like a big wheel, so I use it like one.

I have a pop up tent and although great putting up and its okay size wise I actually hate it because I can not put it down by myself. I've just had to buy another tent as the thought of fighting to get it folded back down in the bag is sole destroying. I can put my huge blow up tent down and away quicker than I can the pop up one.

I have a four man Cinch. Excellent tent and so easy to put down and pack.
