Shall we? Will just be me and dp as we fancy a wkend on our own and want to climb snowdon... Not sure if we should just treat ourselves to a b&b! I think I am a fairly hard core camper, dp less so although it was his idea to take tent...

Yes if its only you and DH you can find ways to keep warm.

Yes you will find a very quiet campsite.

I went two weeks ago was lovely. Lots of blankets, duvets, hot water bottle.

I wouldn't, more because of the heavy rain we have had in the area. Plus you do realise that snowdon is quite likely to have snow?

Thanks Hippo - no we hadn't factored in the possibility of snow at all! .

In which case I wonder if anyone has any alternative suggestions for us? don't mind a bit of rain but I don't really fancy having to be rescued by mountain rescue. Any hills or other walks anyone knows of which wouldn't necessarily be hideous in March? We will drop DS with GPs in Gloucestershire so anywhere drivable from there really...

The Brecon Beacons are lovely and so much lower than Snowdon that snow is far less likely to be a problem.

Snowdonia is a mountain range you know, there's lots of different mountains you can explore, it's not all about snowdon :-). Plus there's loads of lovely walks that don't involve any mountains. Or Anglesey is pretty much flat. And I take back my comment about the amount of rain we have had, I think we've been pretty lucky compared to the rest of the country.
