"Lights out" inner tents in the new Vangos, any one tried them out?
(23 Posts)Just that really, just wondering if the "lights out" inner tents in the new Vangos' are any good???? Love the idea...
Sorry just realised it's new for 2014!!! Just found a video it looks nice a roomy & only takes 20 mins to put up apparently!
It looks very nice! I wish we could afford new one.
I need one I can pitch solo though.
It does look nice, quite pricey though! I'm torn between this and a bell tent! The darkened inner tent is very alluring though when you have little children! We tend to only camp for two/ three nights at the most so I'm not sure how practical a bell would be for short trips...
If we did go for the vango though I would consider the 600, we are a family of 4.
If you googlry lights out vango there are other threads too. They are completely new or dark it would seem!
What was the new wire meant to say Crash? I will have a search!
Wire??? WORD, silly phone!
Sorry meant to say they aren't completely new!

Lisa, how long does the Bell take to dry when you get home?

Apparently the Light's Out inners are pretty effective according to Camping And Caravanning Club magazine.
We're also bell tent weekend warriors - so quick to go up now that DD is old enough to properly help!
But if it's all dark, I'd miss my favourite bit! When I wake up for a pee at the first hint of dawn and then lay there enjoying the sound of my kids snoring!
Will be showing this to dp, he ripped a massive hole in ours attempting to dry it and the idea of a lie in past 4am on camping trips is appealing.
The Zee, I see your point but my DD wakes before me, so not so peaceful!!!
We have a bell tent too and it goes up within 15 minutes! We have the 5 metre and a bedroom inner
Can you pitch the bell tent solo?
I haven't got a vango with lights out but I do have a 'selection' of tents [ wink ].
I have 2 of the Kampa polycotton tents the sleeping inners are 'lights out' kampa style.
Make a huge difference. Quite dark , even in daylight.
Also, if you're lucky & get early morning sunshine - keeps it nice and cool , so you don't wake up cooking at the crack of dawn .
I'd recommend - whatever brand .
I've been really disappointed with the Vango 'lights out' inners - I can hardly tell the difference....to the point that I'm tempted to contact Vango to ask if they've put the wrong ones in!! 🙁
I have a lights out inner tent in my vango and it makes no difference whatsoever.
They're rubbish, aren't they?!
