It would do fine. we just bought a party stove, a strange unit that has a burner, griddle and appears to stir fry as well. It has piezo ignition (no matches with DS1 abourt!) and cost £30- bargain.

Millets have a double ring stove with a toast grill (unable to do hyperlinks ). It might be worth looking at in the sales (if sales are in time for your trip).

we have one like Pattsy describes and it's excellent - folds more compactly than a bbq and has no lavarock stuff to drop out.
The Millets / Argos ones are £45ish, but they last forever - ours is 35 years old!

Here is the camping gaz double burner and grill you can buy it in millets for £50ish quid or online for £41.95 INCLUDING P&P. I use this one it's easy to clean very stable and as already said it does fold up really small. I would definately recommend it
