here
have been doing some Forest School training here and this festival is planned for the end of May. Sounds fantastic and, if it is anything like the other events that they run here, should live well up to expectations. One of the instructors on our course is acting Director for the site and was telling me of lots of exciting things they are doing which are not on the flyer, especially for kids.

I went last year, was really good, the weather was great which always helps , there were a lot of activities for kids that were different compared to the usual festival fare. Oh and there is a tiny little train that runs round the festival and local area. starts from some tourist site/museum (can't remember its name) but its just next to the festival, that was a highlight. Urban games in the wood too, balancing on ropes like tight rope walking. Really good fun and Sunday picnic A1. Lots of effort put in by organisers. Worth going.

Yay! We've (me, DH, DD 2 and DS 7m) got tickets. Had a wonderful time last year, loads of thought has gone into it making it a very relaxing experience. Majority had kids and it's very small, it's like a combination of a pretty campsite with woods, good music, good company, 6am breakfast club (how civilised!), great cocktails and cake! The website is fairly limited but says will have finalised info in May. It's a perfect easy intro for us to the world of camping and festivals for families. Can't wait!

We've got tickets too (me, DH and DD3. Bought them after a great review by bedhaven on another thread. I posted a query on Facebook about whether there would be anything for the under 5s and got a really quick response from them. Very impressed and can't wait!

Me too. Trying to work out how to cut down the vast amounts of crap we usually take camping to make it more festival-sized. Not easy!

I'm pretty new to camping so light on the paraphernalia...so far! Got a bell tent for my 40th this year so experimenting with what we'll need/can fit in the car. Also we live close enough that if anything disastrous happens we can pop home. Hope you have a great time!

You too! DH doesn't think the bell tent is such a great idea when stuff has to be dragged or put on a trailer. I suppose I agree with him but a bit gutted really Sad. Fancied a bit of bunting and lights, but hey ho.

'Twill still be brilliant - fingers crossed for a dry weekend!
