Can anyone recommend a campsite in Cornwall?

We would like:
electric hookup
nice and quiet
family friendly BUT not with bar/entertainment etc.

Mother Iveys bay near Padstow is lovely very family friendly and quiet, fantastic scenery and has its own beach. There is also a great beach at Harlyn Sands about 5 mins away. They do have a web site but I can't do links.

Hi Fred the place is magical from the campsite there is a way to walk down in to stives without going near a main road through a field and down little country lanes this poppes out in to the center of the town just near the beach .
we have camped at the place that poptop has mentioned this was before dd and i am not in a great hurry to go back its quite windy and not half as fresh [in the loos and showers]it put me off when are you hoping to go on holiday best wishes Grin

I got a recommendation from MN a couple of years ago for \link{http://www.carlyonbay.net\carlyon bay} It was brilliant, one of the best campsite we have ever been to. However the beach is not the best, it is stoney. I know it says there is a bit of entertainment, but it is tiny, a clown or magician or kids disco for a couple of hours, but not really at a bar, more on the patio near the pool IYKWIM I was SERIOUSLY impresed with this place and would reccommend it without question IIIRC we were on about pitch 35 in the DUPORTH field. Try to get there as the picthes are large and there is a small play fort that the kids can go to (under 7's) while you stay at the tent.

We did 1/2 a week there and another few days \link{http://www.littlebodieve.co.uk\here} which is also good. You don't need to book for Little Bodieve (maybe if you need electric I am not sure) and the pitches are unmarked so you can have a huge space. It is perfect for the beaches of Polzeth, Daymer bay etc. AND CHEAP!

Polmanter is lovely. It does have a bar/restaurant/entertainment but nothing like the big sites, it's more like your local pub. We stayed for a week last August and never used the bar/restaurant. Kids made plenty of friends. The site doesn't seem to have the rowdiness that some of the big sites do. Handy for Lands End, St. Ives (obviously), Penzance, Helston (Seal Sanctuary), Mousehole.
