French Campsites that allow campfires

Can anyone recommend low-key sites that allow campfires in France? We were looking along the Atlantic Coast and like the look of some of the Indigo sites but they don't allow campfires or even charcoal grills - not even my Cobb :( Can't imagine camping without either of these. One or t'other would be fine - but neither!?!?

The kids are still small so we don't need discos or water slides or anything. We stayed in Mathieves in Dordogne last year which was the right pace. (While no fires were allowed, they did let us grill.) But looking for something close-ish to a beach and hopefully closer to Calais as well.

thanks

Thanks for the reply. I was looking at that link last night but it seemed maybe out of date and hopefully not exhaustive. It lists indigo for instance but I've had an email from them saying they don't allow fires out charcoal grills at any of their sites. Shame really. I'll have a look at some of the others tonight though.

We definitely used a charcoal BBQ at an Indigo site last August. How strange? And we weren't the only ones....

You can search for campfire campsites in France on the updated cool camping website. I have been trawling through it myself recently.
