True! We never had electric either, but took advantage of a friends tent last summer which did and it was lovely smile

I was also enjoying a family who had solar powered fairy lights all around theirs! (Our kids used glo-sticks for the disco effect indoors).

Electricity in tents is wrong. I was bought up on Swallows and Amazons. If Titty didn't have it neither should I.

Get electric hook up and plug in a low voltage heater! Works a treat.

Also, mulled wine and baileys or whisky in the hot choc grin

Better still - get a Motorhome.....

Always fancied an off peak camp but never risked it. What can you do to a tent to keep it warmer?

You are being very unreasonable to use a phrase like "winterise" angry

No - we are off tomorrow for 2 nights and got the last pitch on a large site, so we are not the only nutters out there.

Glad our van has decent heating...
