Help please! Damaged butane canister

DD and I are going camping tomorrow for the very first time.

I have bought a small butane stove and just tested it for the first time and in doing so noticed that one of the canisters of gas is dented. I know better than to use it but does anyone know what I should do with it? Should I take it to the local tidy tip/recycling centre and ask them or will they look at me like I'm offering them a bomb?

Is it calor gas branded as you buy and swap empties at petrol stations or large campsites
