Anyone suggest a nice site for a stop off around Rouen area?

Hi, travellling down to the vendee and we will have a very early start to catch the ferry so don't want to drive more than about 3 hours on the French side. Anyone know of any reasonable sites for a one night stay possibly around Rouen or either side of it? Have been reading on UK campsite that a lot of the municipals are being over-run with gypsies and are a bit rowdy. Just want to get our head down for a kip really. Not taking any cooking stuff so somewhere to grab a (cheap!) bite to eat would be good. Thanks so much!!
