Back (for a while now) from painfully wet week at Clippesby, wet cold, wet, wet, wet one sunny bikini beach day, yea!
More sodding rain.
Still the kids had a brilliant time, is an amazing site for kids.
Anyhoo, on arrival, went to check out the facilities and my first thought was of Slubber, as at Clippesby there is no morning meeting of the eye, whilst communal tooth brushing, oh no, each cubical has it's own sink so you can carry out your ablutions in blissful privacy. Ds was most unimpressed when I said this was my favourite thing about the campsite
Next morning, off for a shower, nice showers, lots of hooks on the wall for hanging things, to keep them off the (obligitory) wet campsite shower floor, on one hook went my towel, another my soap bag and on a third my pants.
Shower, then collect belongings and leave, to go merrily (except for the rain) about my morning.
Pop back to the loo, after block cleaning time and realise that directly opposite the door (for both men and women) there is a shelf where the cleaners kindly display any articles that have been left in the showers, there is a bottle of head and shoulders, some nice L'ocitanne stuff and OMG my pants, gusset side out
The shame.
Almost enough (along with the rain) to put me off camping for life........
