We have Airics from Alpkit as recommended by many a mnetter and they are fab. Even dh admits it and he always used to moan about his back when camping.

Blimey 10cm sounds v thick. Ours aren't that. The SIMs I've seen aren't that thick.

Sorry x-posted, we have the Fat Airics but the range has changed so I don't know what that equates to now

Dozers are apparently the new Fat Airics and they're out of stock with no one knowing when they'll be back in. Which is a shame, as I'd have one otherwise, and so would my friend ... I think I see why they're out of stock.

Fat Airics have now been improved and are called Dozers. No idea what the change was though.

Not sure what thickness ours are, 5cm max I would think but they are so comfy. I'm not sure how much you'd gain from the extra thickness apart from them taking up more space when packed up.

The Dozers are fab. They're about 7.5cm I think, you can only get them through Alpkit. They're having huge problems with production and haven't a clue when they'll be back in stock yet, they're saying possibly not this year. Apparently the company who make them also make them for lots of other companies so I imagine there's going to be a shortage of good SIM everywhere.

we got our double vango 5cm on amazon which was cheaper than GoOutdoors, we tried it out on the rock beds at GoOutdoors and it felt really comfortable but we haven't camped with it yet.

Nobody - I may have already posted about this to you on another thread (have lost track on who I have bored so far Grin) We have ordered the gelert xl adventure 10cm sims. (Wanted dozers but obv out of stock and no idea when back in and thermarests seemed a bit expensive - I wanted the tick ones..) They haven't arrived yet but will let you know when they do and will report back on how they seem (although you will probably have bought yours by then!) So not very helpful but those are the ones we went for!

Mine have arrived! Have tried them and they feel great - really firm which I love) but no inkling of the floor underneath... Bit of a job to get them rolled up again - sure it would be easy for a man as they are generally stronger (than me anyway!), but I managed it quite quickly actually.
