Camping with 2 kids and puppy. Possible or crazy?

we are all really keen to go camping but we have a new puppy. Toying with the idea of giving it a bash once the pup has had her vaccinations. A bit nervous though. Will it be far too stressful or ok? Anyone with experience or helpful tips would be appreciated. Kids are 5 and 3.
