says it all really - I had a 'you only live once moment' this afternoon and egged on by my dh I've ordered a Hypercamp Palamos 6 from Obelink in NL! (squeeeeell!)
isn't she gorgeous? and this is the site I used
I needed a smaller tent than Lakey for continental camping, with a decent porch for shade but bigger than a 4 berth.
Photos will follow when she arrives and we've tried to put her up in the park as I know she won't fit in our garden

I have already warned dh about the guys so he is prepared. I have researched on ukcamping as to the recommended order in which to construct said beauty- lay out ZIG and peg at corners, zip canvas on top, put two front poles in, loosely guy then up goes the big pole. I then get to play house inside while dh pegs- he's going to love getting all those guys in line, bit retentive about things like that!
I may have some tents to sell if this is THE ONE!

Thanks Batteryhuman- all those Dutch tents last year at Les Valades have swayed me to their gorgeousness- I had coveted a De Waard- but at £2000 for the one I liked - nope 
Slubber it has 2 separate bedrooms so our plan is to put the dd's in a bedroom and we'll just sleep in the main bit.

I think we will have a look at what we've got already- seeing as we are 'downsizing'! I am planning to use our tarp purely as a shelter for eating/ cooking- maybe attach it the front of the tent over the poles?
I'm glad so many people like her- let's hope she's as fabulous in the flesh/ cotton

Ooh they look soooo useful. Just the thing for when eyelet doesn't meet pole in quite the right place. I'm liking those v much. Right.... off to work- children to educate.
