Brand new Montana 6 here. We've put it up once already - took 45 minutes, which I think is pretty decent, but we had a friend helping us and it was a dry, still day.

Videos are definitely the way to go, we've got one or two alternative ways to put the tent up now, as opposed to the looming divorce we'd have if we'd relied on Outwell's in-bag instructions.

We are trying to put it up in our garden now. Not only is our garden not big enough , I have had to come in for a minute as I am laughing so hard at DH doing his "I know what I am doing, don't worry" act, using the in-bag instructions.

I've had a sip of Wine I'd better go and make up with him. He's standing with a hooped pole and a baffled look.

Yep easy to put up!
Lay the canvas out with the the 'fabric tubes' for the poles all on top of each other, then thread the poles through each fabric sheath from the back of the tent to the front, lifting as you go. Peg the back out to stabilise her and then arrange into a line. Zip in groundsheet before pegging out and bobs your Uncle!

Take out more wine Grin Then we need to see a photo!

So sorry ... its been mental at work. We left the tent up on Sunday night and put it back in the bag on Monday. I say put it back in the bag, but really mean the bag is in the general proximity of the bits of the tent.

I hink this whole up and down business needs some practice ... its impossible to get it that small again!!

we put all our poles in then pull up (think was copying the yeomans video on youtube) put in the front guy then straighten... yes must zip in first before pegging - we keep the groundsheet seperate so tent fits in bag quite easily Grin and have footprint/carpet and delta pegs in plastic underbed type storage box which then converts to shoe storage whilst we're away... I love my bear lake cant wait to try it on hot sunny trip to France soon.........
