does any one know if there is a swimming pool and if so is it heated. Going camping this weekend and trying to plan what to take. I guess wetsuits for the play lake with pirate ship is a must.

Anyone any advice.

There is a pool but we never used it so not sure if it's heated. The pirate lagoon was much more fun than the pool looked. It is fab.

Get some of those little neoprene boots or socks for the kids as well as wetsuits. They do sell wetsuits there.

We live on it's doorstep and have a pass, definitely take the neoprene shoes (Crocs not the best for the pirate ship)and wetsuits as they really need shoes, also it's under trees so doesn't get the heat of the sun.My kids have neither as they're hardy Devon kids but were shivering this weekend.

Also take water pistols unless you want to pay £3 for the squirters they sell in the shop, all the kids have them.If you've got a blow up boat take that too.

Have fun,we can't justify camping as so close but it looked so idyllic this weekend, think they had a wedding party.Love the field with the stream.

It's a fantastic campsite! But I'm not sure if the pool will be open. When we camped there last year there were notices up saying that the pool would soon be closed as they were demolishing it and deciding what to replace it with. If it is still open I think it is heated (as I swam in it and I don't do cold water!) The kids swam in it in their wet suits. But you wont miss it if it is closed as there's so much else to do!

The pool has gone,it's filled in. There will be a new one next year I think.

Sad, thats bad news it was a nice little pool and it was warm when we were there. I hope they do replace it as I love to swim on holiday but theres no way I am going in the play lakeGrin.

A blow up boat is a must, your kids will love it.

just came home from River Dart. LOVE it!! Second time we have been and it is great and a lovely atmosphere! Was sad to see the pool gone as was shallow enough for DD to stand in! n
