I'm going in 3 weeks- please come back and update with what its like! Have a 4yr old DS so hoping you'll say the play park is good- and tell me its true you get a free picnic table to use!

We stayed here last year and it was absolutely great. The play park was fab for DD (then 18 months old) and our pitch did have a picnic table we could use. Had a great time and disappointed that the arrival of DC2 this summer means we can't go back until next year!

Just hope the weather is better, all this rain is rather off putting Sad

I have been! The play park is indeed fabulous but very noisy until 11pm so pitch a little further away if possible. The site itself is very pretty and there are some lovely walks directly from the park (go and see the llamas), there was also lots of wildlife around the park (saw cuckoo and barn owl) and there are nest box cameras to watch fledging too.

Not an awful lot to do in the immediate vicinity though, take plenty of board games if the weather forecast is not great.

Just shown my DSs the photos on the website and they want to know if we can go today?!!

Looks like a really fab site and as we have a dog too and they have a kennelling facility it might give us more options for sightseeing.

Didnt notice many tents in the photos - do they have a particular area for them, do you get allocated your pitch when you book?

hi all

We have just got back from a fab weekend at The Inside Park. The park is great, really pretty. There are great walks around the site. Loos etc very clean. didn't use the shop as there is a Morrisons and Tesco just a 5 min drive away. The market town of Blandford forum is very pretty, there is a great fish and chip shop on the main street, sorry can't remember the name..

We had a picnic bench on our pitch which was great. We took our tent, there was a good mix of both tents and caravans. We were on pitch 57, which was nice and flat although we lost the sun in the evening. Pitches 51 to 59 were in a great position, i would def request one of those again if poss.

The play park was brilliant, loads for all ages. We didn't use the kennels for our dog as so many places are doggy friendly. We went to Sandbanks as they have a very nice dog beach just further along. also drove to Lulworth cove one day, very pretty also.

All in all we have a great time, the site is in a great position to visit loads of places. Can't wait until we go again.

Also had fab weather which helps. Smile

Great news, hope you have a fantastic time, now i feel very jealous as wish we were going back soon.

Just be careful on the dog walks as lots of people were reporting dogs picking up ticks, we were very careful with our hairy baby, (pics on profile if you want a look)
