The Lleyn.

Monday looks a bit better...

smugmumofboys Thu 26-May-11 19:11:34

Off to the Llyn on Sunday.

I bought a new cossie and everything for a sun-kissed day on Whistling Sands. It can't rain.

Slubberdegullion Thu 26-May-11 19:17:57

oooh smug, I will be on whistling sands also.

I am the Elle Macpherson looky likey in a shorty wetsuit sporting that VERY most attractive of looks: wet suited thigh - Parisian moonlight white lower legs - and then wetsuit bootee at the bottom.

Oh yeah
<Baywatch hair flick>

FlubbaBubba Thu 26-May-11 19:18:03

You may still get to use the cossie smugmum grin (swimming from your tent to the car!) grin

I'll be working the beached-whale-in-Boden look huddled under blankets in my newly-purchased Coleman beach shelter.

Slubberdegullion Thu 26-May-11 19:27:02

I will run athletically past you in your Coleman shelter, laughing in my wetsuit.
I might even Arab spring with the joy of being back under the North Wales sunshine.

harrygraciepie Thu 26-May-11 19:27:14

Oh the joys I simply cannot wait for the drive there judging by hubbys bag on at the moment trying to fit the bike rack to the back of the car, he reckons it wont go an estate car ha ha! needed my help but i just been told to get back inside and take the kids who were say pressing the hazzards and playin d.j with the radio knob, thats what he is

fatzak Thu 26-May-11 19:28:54

Another off to the Llyn here on Saturday. Am also doing lots of praying as Dh is heading back up to Old Trafford for a football match on Sunday leaving me without a car and the horrific thought of two small boys and a washed away tent grin

harrygraciepie Thu 26-May-11 19:33:54

oh deary me! can your o/h take my hubby with him fatzak? lol

SeaShellsHasSandInHerShoes Thu 26-May-11 19:40:29

harrygraciepie Thu 26-May-11 19:45:25

NormanTebbit Thu 26-May-11 19:58:35

Hello we are off to (gulp) Mull of Kintyre. I am taking all the duvets^ we own, full wet weather gear and I haven't bothered with any swim gear as it's going to be baltic

Friend suggest we take a spade so we can dig a trench round the tent if the torrential rain gets too much.

<shivers just thinking about it>

MisSalLaneous Thu 26-May-11 20:01:21

For exactly this kind of situation I would love a woodburner.

Good luck to you all!

harrygraciepie Thu 26-May-11 20:01:29

Only us Brits eh! are you taking any small children Norm?

IwishIwasmoreorganised Thu 26-May-11 20:05:58

We're off to the Gower. I can't seem to find 2 weather forecasts that agree so for now I'm chosing to believe the BBC as there's seems best grin

IwishIwasmoreorganised Thu 26-May-11 20:06:19

NormanTebbit Thu 26-May-11 20:06:24

Yes - three aged 6,4 and 2. We are with two other families ^all with children of a similar age.

There is a cafe. A games room. A drying room. And I have a bottle of brandy.
