Can I loose a stone in 12 days?

Through exercise and healthy eating I went from a size 12 to an 8. Then covid happened And the weight slowly crept back on, I haven't been able to exercise and healthy eating went out the window due to time. I am annoyed with myself as my 40 is coming up and I wanted to look my best. I am a curvy 10 but want to get back to an 8. Feeling bit shit about myself, put on weight, my roots are bad, eyebrows crap and bad skin. I can't get my hair, nails, facial, tan done as I normally would due to covid. We won't be doing much now but think DH has arranged a few online things and we're going for a picnic. So don't want to look back at photos and think yuk.

I don't want to starve myself by is it possible to loose a stone or near to in 12 days? If so what would I eat? I can't exercise again until the dcs go back to school.

You could do, in an extended fast. There's a great Facebook group called fasting for weight loss and Kevin Fung's books are good.

Christ no are you mad? You’d make yourself ill surely

It doesn’t sound very healthy. To lose a stone in 4 weeks you need a calorie deficit of 1750 a day. That’s impossible without starvation.
Half a stone would be achieveable but tough going

If you did this your photos would look awful because you wouldn't be glowing. You would look absolutely ill. It would all be fake.

Eat some raw chicken, that’ll do it

I doubt you could lose a stone of fat in such a short time, it's likely to be mainly water that you lose.

I got campylobacter from chicken once. Never felt so ill in my life. Couldn't eat, couldn't drink for 2 weeks. I didn't lose a bloody ounce 😂 I was gutted!

I lost 15 in 3 weeks - Cambridge diet. Kept it off too. Expensive and not enjoyable though!

I don’t think your starting weight would be high enough to lose so much so quickly.

By that I mean if you were 20 stone & started to eat very healthily & exercise then 1 stone in 2 weeks may be possible.

I wouldn’t think so when you are (by most people’s standards) already slim.

No half a stone maybe but a stone is a silly target

Report

That kind of loss is only possible if you're very heavy to begin with.

Of course. 800 per day, low carb, loads of water. It's basically a pound a day

Why not give yourself a target of 3-4 pounds instead?

That kind of weight loss can make jeans feel looser and tips hang a bit better. Plus, why not order some stuff online to enable you to do some self maintenance to boost your confidence?

Aim for something achievable and not daft.

I eat 800-1200 a day and only losing 1-2lb a week now I'm near target. You won't lose it healthily in that small time.

Why can't you exercise while DC are at home?

You could try the Fast 800. You'll be hungry for the first 4 days but it's healthy food and you can lose nearly a stone in 2 weeks (I lost 13lb!)

You might lose it but as soon as you start eating differently or stop doing exercise you’ll get it back

Years ago me and DH did a ‘lose a stone in a week’ diet before a beach holiday. He was a couple of stone overweight, I was a healthy size 10-12 but with a little bit of flab haha, nothing compared to now, and we were both young and daft. The diet can be found on Google and involves various delights such as dry toast, salad with egg, chicken, fish, and lots of lots of grapefruit. It worked in that DH lost around a stone and I lost about 12lb.

However, it turned out I’m allergic to grapefruit (I’d rarely had it before, and it took me the full week to bring up how it makes your mouth tingle. DH looked worried and informed that it doesn’t do that to most people, and I realised it had been getting worse all week and I’d needed my inhaler more Blush). We celebrated the end of the week with a pizza, following which we spent the night before our flight fighting over the bathroom or curled up with stomach cramps. We then put the weight all back during a week of all inclusive.

So yeah, it’s probably just about possible, but I wouldn’t recommend it.

How long does Fast 800 go on? Don't you regain it?

Half a stone could be good. I don't have any scales so unsure exactly how much I have put on. Just know that my size 8 clothes look and feel comfortable tight and I want them to fit nicely again with no muffin top.
