Hello people! Just wondering how many calories do you intake on a daily basis and what meals/snacks do you eat? I'm starting a 1200-1400 calorie diet and trying to figure out what to eat. If you don't mind, write down your meals & snack and how many calories are in each. Thanks. 😊😊

I normally eat around 1900 to maintain my weight but I'm sedentary at the minute due to illness. This has reduced it to 1600.
For breakfast (2pm) I tend to have 200g greek yoghurt % with 80g raspberrys and zero calorie syrup,
Lumches (5pm) are 200g chicken/prawns/tuna with a piece of cheese or soup
Dinners (7pm) Tends to be 200g fish or gammon, a huge pile of stir fried veg around 400g and 1/2 packet of noodles or chick pea and vegetable curry with cauliflower rice
Snacks are fruit. Aldi benefit light bars, Aldi chocolate pot desserts, quavers, wotsits all under 100 calories

I try to stay under 1400. Breakfast is 2 pieces of wholemeal toast from a little 400g loaf, with marmite (no butter). Lunch is 2 x apples, 2 x oranges, 2 x kiwis and a fat free yoghurt. Dinner is chicken paella with peppers, onion, courgette and mushroom. If I need a snack in the evening I'll have a couple of biscuits

I'm on 1700 per day, but am very active- run, play rugby, go to gym. On long run (10km) and rugby match days, probably more like 2,200. I'm trying to lose fat slowly but build my muscle strength.
On normal day, I eat:

Breakfast - bagel with peanut butter and banana. Almost always, love this. Occasionally eggs on toast.

Lunch - Large salad with lots of some kind of meat, fish or eggs. Lots of fruit and maybe a small cake, nuts or yoghurt. Lunch is my hungry time.

Dinner - usual family meals like chili/ pasta/ meat and veg. I make sure roughly half is veg, quarter meat / fish/ beans and quarter is carbs like potatoes.

Snacks- milk. If doing evening exercise like rugby training or gym I'll have some cheese and crackers or ham sandwich or similar at 4pm to keep me going and have smaller than usual dinner afterwards.

Tht's a strict day. It is working, but obviously some days stricter than others. I do enjoy the odd beer after matches and cakes and crumbles for pudding sometimes.

Calorie wise - I try and do 400 calories for breakfast, 5/600 for Lunch, 500 for dinner and rest snacks. Mfp is great for this. I enter my meals into mfp in the morning and stick to the pan during the day. Obviously add in any extras like unplanned work cakes at the end of the day.

I do 300 for breakfast, 400 for lunch and 500 for dinner. I've lost 2 stone in 5 months.

Breakfast is usually whole meal toast with low fat spread and marmite or cereal and fruit.

Lunch is either a salad, egg on toast, chicken sandwich or soup.

Dinner is usual stuff really just managing my portion size. If I'm low on calories I will top up with yoghurt or fruit.

Only drink alcohol at weekends.

Gym twice a week but will often go for a walk at lunchtime.

I'm on 1500 at the moment. Yesterday I had:

Breakfast - wasn't hungry so had a banana late morning

Lunch - Thai chicken noodle soup with loads of veggies in

Snack - carrot sticks

Dinner - sirloin steak with rosemary and garlic new potatoes, and a port/cream cheese sauce

Today I've had:

Breakfast - porridge with a tablespoon of Manuka honey

On a hungry day, non dieting day; 2 poached eggs, tin of beans and sausages, 2 slices of toast with butter and Marmite, lunch would be a salad or sandwich if I'm working plus a banana and apple, evening meal roast chicken breast or pork loin steak or salmon/other fish veg. Or casserole/ curry.
Cutting down or not working: 2 soft boiled eggs, one piece of toast with reduced fat butter and Marmite Salad for lunch if I want it. Similar evening meal

Typically a coffee for breakfast (100 cal).

Lunch today was soup and some crackers (300 cal)

Dinner will be chicken and veg with some sort of sauce (400 cal)

I'll probably have some yoghurt, berries and maybe some chocolate to get me to around 1200.

I am on the 8 week Blood Sugar Diet. I do 8-12 weeks of 800 cals per day and lose around 2.5 stone per block. Have at least 4 weeks between blocks where I stick to principles but don’t calorie count.

A standard weekday is 120g full fat Greek yogurt with 80g frozen berries and 8g ground flaxseed at 11am-noon.

Butternut squash or cauliflower cheese soup at around 4pm.

Veg curry/tuna steak with stir fry/cheese and mushroom omelette and salad.

2-3 decaf coffees per day with double cream.

I've lost 53lbs but the final 5lbs are staying stubbornly put! I do around 15000 steps a day and eat between 1250 and 1500 cals.

Bfast.....baked oats or overnight oats with fruit or eggs on toast or crumpets or cereal with yoghurt and berries. Approx 270 to 320 cals.

Lunch.. tuna/egg/chicken salad, crisps and fruit or raviolli /eggs/cottage cheese on toast or a wrap or toasted sandwich. Lots of salad and fruit. About 400 to 500 cals.

Dinner. ...typical family meals (stews, curries, pasta, roast, stir fry etc) but modified to cut cals....quark to replace cream, low fat cheese, skim milk in sauces, lean meat......and half my plate will be salad or vegetables. About 450 to 500 cals.

In the evening I have sugar free jelly or fruit or Nude popcorn, yoghurt, low calorie hot chocolate drink or sugar free sweets.

I drink too much Diet Cola to fill me up.

Facebook have a page called PinchofNom.com affiliated with Slimming world. The food tweaks and recipes are ideas are totally amazing and will change your game ie wrap, slice of ham, 20g grated cheese, raw egg.....oven 15mins.....best thing you've ever eaten! Also mix low fat yoghurt with sugar free jelly = creamy fluffy mousse!

Hard boiled eggs are a great snack. It's hard to eat more than two and they are really filling.

I'm eating around 1470 at the moment.

Breakfast - 2 boiled eggs with something like chopped tomatoes or a veggie sausage

Lunch - can of Heinz tomato soup, sunbites crisps

Dinner - something like a really big tuna salad, fish cakes and salad, salmon with asparagus and new potatoes, omelette with salad

I tend not to snack but if I do it's fruit or occasionally a bag of malteasers if I can spare the calories and need a pick me up!

I also have 2/3 cups of tea with semi skimmed milk per day.

How many calories you need depends on
Height
Current weight
Age
Activity level
it is therefore impossible to compare food intake unless you are also checking the BMR (basal metabolic rate) and TDEE (Total Daily Energy expenditure) of each person.

My Sedentary TDEE is 1500 calories a day
I aim for just below that as I could do with losing a few pounds.

I eat around 1600 kcal. I track my calories with Yazio.
In the morning I usually eat overnight oats or scrambled eggs.
For lunch I mostly have a salad or slice of bread with avocado or turkey. And then in the evening that's when I eat the biggest amount of my daily calories as I like to have a nice dinner with my family. That varies from every day, but I try to include lots of vegetables, sometimes with meat.

1200-1300 kcal per day and importantly less than 30g carbs per day. Have lost 4 stone in the 4 months I’ve been doing this.

Today:

-Fresh strawberries with creme fraiche for breakfast

-Homemade lasagne made with courgette pasta for lunch

-Will be having homemade lamb kleftiko, roast mushrooms and courgettes, tzatziki, bhaba ganoush, and Greek salad (feta, tomato, onion, olives, and cucumber with vinegar and oil). Husband and friends will also have pita and a cold rice salad.

With a big glass of wine this will get me right to 1200 for the day.
