How sad does that title sound? Grin Any mfp users here? I've had the app for a long time, but yesterday I joined the gym and completed my first workout. My food is going to be far from perfect (especially for the next month) but I'd do so much better with support. Don't want to let my rl friends know what I'm doing.

My username is Outnumbered123. Smile

My MFP name is lady_rosy. After a spell of illness (mine and DS), I've put on a fair amount of insulation through poor food choices and lack of exercise.

I'm back on it as of yesterday. I have about 2 stone I'd like to lose. I have set my food diary to be visible to friends too, as I know I love looking at what others eat for inspiration.

Hi, My username is nursie37. Glad I’ve found this thread too. Trying to get back on track today after putting on a few Hmmpounds over the last few weeks. Do I send a request to the usernames here or do you add me?

Hi. I just added everyone who’s put their username on here. I’m LapsedTwentySomething. I’m also 5’4” and size 16-18. I haven’t made any real effort to sort it for years but I’m feeling in a great place mentally and work is not so crazy that it will undermine me at the moment.

Hi everyone. I need to get back into this. I lost 1stone between October and November but I think I’ve put most back on over Christmas.

I’ll add those who have put their usernames here. Mine includes my name so I won’t post it publically.

May I join? My username is danmcc88. I haven't a lot to lose but it's a struggle. It's all in my belly so i constantly look about 4 months pregnant

Hello, thanks for the friends requests. I have been a bit crap between Christmas and New Year but filled it in today. Will try and do so every day. Was a bit crap today but skipped lunch so stayed within my calories Blush

How’s everyone else doing?

I’m going for a modest loss of a pound a week with no specific total or time limit. I find that if I mess up once I give up if I feel I’ve sabotaged my goals. By not having anything specific in mind I hope to change my lifestyle generally rather than beat myself up over arbitrary failure.

Today I’m doing fine. There are still lots of Christmas treats in the house - cheese, chocolate and an amazing fruit cake. I’m not going to waste them. Instead I’m hoping to use MFP to help me exercise some self control. So it’s a bit of Stilton, cheddar and fresh bread for lunch.

what's everyone daily calorie allowance? I don't have time to exercise with 4 kids running around so can't eat exercise calories gained. I struggle to eat 1200 a day as I love a cup of tea with sugar and if I don't have it my head pounds.

Report
Tuttytoffee · 02/01/2018 16:03

Sorry not struggle to eat. I struggle to keep to that number. I only have 324 left for evening meal now and I have only had 1 cup of tea ☹

Report
Shadow666 · 02/01/2018 16:05

Mines 1500 kcal per day. I think 1200 is too hard to maintain long term but I find 1500 ok. I can have three good meals and a small snack or treat every day.

Can I jump in on this too? Size 14, 5’4” and 13st10 at last weigh in. Won’t be starting to use MFP until 8th but wanted to get ready in good time...

I will add names on here but my user includes my name so I won’t post it publicly... my calorie allowance is 1470 daily.

rheasmummy · 02/01/2018 16:18

Mine is 1200 a day which I think I’ll struggle with too. It was 1300 and something but now I’ve updated it with my weight gain its dropped to 1200! I might need to adjust it too.

Report
Tuttytoffee · 02/01/2018 16:29

Mines actually 1270. And that's to lose 1lb per week. If I put it higher I won't lose a thing lol. I'm 10st 9lb and would only like to lose about 10lb. It just all sits on my belly making me look pregnant and it's so annoying. I was 11st 6lb before I had my daughter who is 4 months old now. I must of lost weight when pregnant as I've been 10st 9lb since giving birth. I think I might up it and see how much I can eat if my goal is 1/2lb a week instead.
