Calorie-counting

Anyone successfully gained weight?

I tried mfp and carefully logged all my food but I'd get to the end of the day and still be way off the calorie target. It was disheartening, so I ended up giving up. Then I just thought I could do it myself, making myself a sandwich between meals, keeping in calorie dense foods in, like almonds, avocados. But over the past few months I've got a bit lazy and skipped lunch by accident. I feel like with the new year I should try again and get a plan, I don't know whether to try mfp again. Has anyone found it worked for them,? I was breastfeeding feeding last time so the calories I had to get through were higher than they would be now so it might be easier.Anyone got any tips for getting the calories quickly, as last time it took so much time I was constantly in the kitchen making stuff.

I'm trying to gain weight at the moment, I've been avoiding logging food but I haven't put on any weight since before Christmas so I think I need to start. What's mfp?

So I have no tips, but it's always good to know that there's someone else out there who actually wants to gain weight. I'm struggling to find healthy things to eat rather than trying just to eat more.

Ahh I've just googled mfp. I've not used that one, but I downloaded the fitbit app last night (to use by itself) but is the mfp one better? I noticed that fitbit can't help me gain weight, only maintain. I might have to look in to this.
