Calorie-counting

Am I doing it right?

I seem to be eating more and larger portions yes struggling to break the 1000 calories a day mark. I've changed the way I eat. Loads more veg. Carb portions the size of my palm or fist.

So I'm feeling full not feeling tired. But not getting more than 800/900 cals a day.

Am I doing this wrong?

Yesterday

Breakfast. Branflakes with milk. Banana

Lunch. rump steak stirfry with egg noodles. Orange.

Tea. venison grillsteak with asparagus, purple sprouting broccoli and new potatoes and a smidge of Dijon mustard.

Weighed it all out each meal. Put it in a calorie calculator and total was 987

If your not hungry I wouldn't worry too much, you are eating healthily. But if you really want to up your calories a handful of nuts like almonds, avocado etc, using olive oil in cooking can increase your calories with good fats and without bloating. (:-))

What size was the steak? I am struggling to survive on 1200 calories. I am so hungry.

I can't remember about 500g? I bashed it out thin and cut into strips. Seemed like loads more that way!

What was your menu yesterday?x

Today I had a tofu, hazelnut and banana shake, 8oz steak with salad, two pancakes with a bit of Nutella and strawberries. Snacked on baby cucumbers and tiny amount of pumpkin seeds. Thats over 1200 and I'm hungrey.

Yesterday I had a portion of almonds for breakfast, edamane and feta on top of salad, with oat cakes, and two quorn sausages, bubble & squeak with peas.

I seem to waste calories on tea and coffe, about 200.
