SIL and MIL did it for about a week with me. I gave up to and have got more motivation. I did go to Costco today and eat about 200 haribo with SIL, so don't judge me on today! PM me (and anyone else who is reading this) so I can add you.

Come join >>The Chiefs<< if you like. We seem to have dwindled in numbers over the holidays so some new enthusiastic faces woukd be very welcome indeed. I've a feeling we'll need to be rallying again now! We're all doing different things, are at different stages and all have different amounts to lose but we've all friended each other on MFP for exactly that reason.

Having someone look your diaries and say 'well done' or 'less cake chunky' makes the world of difference!

Forgot to say, the whole thing started when someone started a thread saying 'shit, I got fat' and a whole bunch of us replied 'me too'.

We lamented for a while then one poster said 'the men who used to call me love now call me chief' and so The Chiefs were born!

Ooooo yes could someone add me on MFP too please? The few friends I have on there seem to have given up and I need the motivation!! Havent got a massive amount to lose maybe just 1-1.5 stone by my wedding next August. As a result (and probably also because im 5ft 10) MFP has given me a generous allowance of 1700 calories. Username is same as on here with a 14 on the end.

I desperately need to get back my motivation, I lost 4 stone over a year and during pregnancy put 2 and a half back on! Literally hate looking like the "old me" but BF my 11 week old DD makes me HUNGRY for chocolate! Bahhh humbug hmm

Thats almost what happened to me except I kept it off till I went back to work. I'm getting so close to the old me it's scary. I'm not sure if mfp will work for me as i don't do scales! But I'm using it to stick to 1500 cals per day.

It's a horrible feeling isn't it Scariest! I so want to start couch to 5k again but I just don't have the time OR energy!

I think if you know your initial weight and calculate how many calories you need to lose you don't need to weigh yourself if you're sticking to your calorie limit! It's so easy to get obsessed with a number on the scales when really it doesn't matter what that number is, it matters how you feel about yourself!

Yeah I'm hoping to start exercising soon and then I really can't do scales I put on muscle easily so my weight loss almost stops as soon as i start working out but the number on the scales totally demotivate me. So I just go on clothes size. When I lost 4 stone in a year I weighed myself at the start, middle, month from the end and end.

I jumped straight in and joined an ultimate accountability group which has been good. I have to log every day and stay under calories and exercise for 20 minutes every day too. One slip and you are out the next month.

It's called Ultimate Accountability November but I don't know if it's still open. Apparently they run the challenge every month so you could join Decembers if it is.
