Trifle sponges Tin fruit cocktail Custard (either homemade or ready made) Whipped cream (I use squirty) Jelly any flavour Sherry Decorations - Banana slices good
Line a pretty large glass bowl with trifle sponges make jelly and add fruit cocktail (drain can use juice to make jelly). Leave to set in fridge. Add sherry - a good amount. When set pour custard on top leave to set finally add cream on top to decorate. You can vary recipe but this worked well for our family for years.
