No airtight tins

Or at least, only two and I'm making lots of cakes!

Can I just wrap in a few layers of cling film, will it do the same job? I can't find an answer on Google (or rather, I can't seem to ask the right question). I'll be making them the day before I want to ice them and eat them, full size cakes, mostly around a Vicky Sponge recipe. I'm thinking surely I could wrap in opposite directions a couple of times and that will do???

Should be fine. Would they fit in the microwave? That's airtight...

If you ice them all over they would stay fresh too

Not icing all over, it's for a Marie Curie tea party and I am doing lots of simple bakes with fillings and toppings.

I have used the microwave before, but still only gives me one more space!

I'll just go for loads of cling film then, thank you! Most recipes are obsessed with storing in an airtight tin...
