Rectangle cake quantities

I am making a birthday cake that involves baking a sponge in a 33 x 23cm rectangular cake tin. But I can't find any converters anywhere that will tell me how much mixture I need for a tin this size and shape. Does anyone know?

that's roughly an A4size, isn't it?
I can call my cake shop tomorrow to find out, but I would probably just do a 6 egg mix

(6 eggs, 12 oz each self-raising flour, butter/margarine, sugar, 5ml vanilla extract)

do you have the time to do a test run?

Thanks - yes, it's roughly A4.
Unfortunately no time to do a test run - need to make it tomorrow for a party on Saturday.

right, the answer is (drum roll):

you need and 8 egg mixture.

so 8 eggs,
16 oz butter or margarine
16 oz caster sugar
16 oz self raising flour
10 ml (2 teaspoons) vanilla extract

I'd add 2 teaspoons of baking powder as well.
I always add some, my cakes come out a good height and very fluffy and moist!

Assuming you rectangular tin isn't full round cake (two sandwich tins) deep and they normally aren't 8 eggs is about right.
