Girl mean to dd... what to do

My dd (7) came home crying a while ago because of this girl, let's call her Liv. (Not her real name) She was handing out presents at Christmas and she gave one to everyone in the class (there's twelve of them) apart from my daughter and doesn't say anything. The teacher says to liv, what about dd? And she says oh, I didn't get her one.... then today liv gives out party invites to everyone except dd and she keeps telling dd how fun the party will be. Dd is so upset about this, what should I do?? Xmas Angry

Speak to the teacher

Do you know her mum?
Does DD have any good friends in class?
What's the teachers take in the situation generally - OK in class? Work together? Either being mean?

Sounds like typical psychological bullying to me. The girl is tormenting your dd by excluding her and then telling her how good the party will be. Could it some sort of jealousy? Definitely tell the school. Hopefully they will do something about it. Good luck xx.
