Hiya! New around here...
I'll get straight to the point: I am a single dad, with a 14 year old DS. His mother died a couple of months after he was born, so it has always been us together. We're really close, but lately he has (expectedly) started to distance himself from me.
Anyway, yesterday he told me about a bullying incident. I was surprised, because DS (though very strong) isn't violent at all. Apparently he was walking in an empty hall way, and he was cornered by the local idiots (big kids, about 5'6) and shoved into a corner.
After they started hitting and kicking and using foul language I don't care to repeat here, he started to fight back. Apparently he left them bruised and battered in the corridor. It was somewhat chilling how calm he was while telling me about this, and I am at a loss about what to do next. He doesn't seem to understand he did something wrong! Advice?
