Medela swing help

Help! I'm away from my baby today and tomorrow, 7 months but still having regular feeds. I've got my Medela swing with me to express milk ready for tomorrow, but as I started I noticed milk in the tubing and it got really slow and sluggish. I've had to hand express on one side, and not very well! Anyone else had this? I've looked it up online and it said to clean and dry the tubing, which I'll do tonight. Just hope it isn't going to break the machine totally!

Also, is the milk safe to drink? In really stuck at there's nothing else for him to drink tomorrow. I don't sterilise the tubing but sterilise all the other bits of the pump and did so earlier today. I wonder if the milk looks a funny colour, but that could just be me.

Any help/ advice gratefully received!
