My DS (21m) still has a bottle of milk before he goes to bed. sometimes he drinks 8 oz other times only 4 but seesm to really enjoy it when did your child stop having milk before bed - & how did you know s/he was ready to stop? I'm quite happy to carry on, just wondering how long it will be for. thanks

Mine DS is 2.2yo. Still has milk before bedtime. I'm not in a hurry to give it up. He likes it and it seems to settle him.

Friends still give their 7yo milk at bedtime IN A BOTTLE - eeek. Not sure at what stage I'd switch mine to a cup (he drinks from a cup the rest of the day, and only from the bottle for this pre-bed milk), but will not be keeping the bottle around until he is 7. Hana, when did you switch to cup for bed time milk?

kiwikate - she was about 2.6 I never thought it was an issue ( we always brushed her teeth after she finished her milk and then had 2 more stories...) but mum thought it was AWFUL. Now of course mum thinks it's awful that she has milk at all!! She doesn't have much during the day and this ups her intake to what I'd like it to be.

Thanks Hana. DS also has his nighttime routine after his last milk of the night.
