ds had oral thrush at 10weeks which then passed to my nipples. both of us were treated, he has been checked several times and has definately not got thrush. i however have been suffering with a very red sore left nipple! it hurts when he latches on almost as though he's got teeth! it is bright red and now the underneath of my breast has become very itchy. ive been to the dr who wasnt convinced it was thrush as this has been going on for 7 weeks now and he said as i was still feeding ds i would have almost certainly passed it back on to him, he did give me another prescription for cream but it doesnt seem to be working its sooooo sore!

It does sound like thrush. GPs aren't always the best at diagnosing this ime. I would call the NCT breastfeeding line and see if you can get a counsellor to come and have a look.
