Hi, i'm 19 weeks with twins and trying to work out our budget! Planning on breast feeding, but wanted to work out how much formula we'd need roughly if that doesn't go to plan. Have idea of cost of 900g of formula but not sure how far that will go with twins. Anyone got any ideas?
Thanks

I guess you would be doing 3oz feeds every 3 hours at first so 8 feeds per day = 16 feeds. Thats 48oz a day.

I guess a tin of Aptimil is 900g (3oz = 15g ish) So you would use just under a tin a day.

At £8 a tin......ouch that is a lot...

Wondering if I have that right!???

IIRC DD had 1.5-2 packs of powder a week, FF from 3months. It's gone up a lot in the last couple of years.

a tin a day???that sounds like an awful lot?

i used cow and gate for my lo's,
3 tubs done my baby for 2 weeks and he was a hungry baby.
so 6 tubs in 2 weeks for 2 babies,
each tub is £6
so roughly £36 fortnightly - £18 a week

you will probably use more in the first week or 2 until you know how much they are going to drink at a time,
