I seem to be spending a fortune on nursing tops. Any suggestions for what to buy that is just 'normal' clothing that works for nursing.

Gap does some great sleeveless t shirts which are long enough to cover my flabby belly. I wear them under other tops. I pull the tops layer up and the T shirt down. Cheaper than nursing tops and they haven't stretched.I buy a size bigger than my normal size to accomodate my monster oobs.

Read boobs for oobs!

Yes the H&M ones are very good. Not a particularly big choice of styles/colours, but very practical and kept their shape well.

yes yes vests under normal tops - IME you need ones with thin bra-like straps so they stretch

or wear a boob tube under a normal top

I generally go for a shirt/top you can undo over a vest top and then unbutton the top layer a bit and pull down the vest top. I couldn't get on with proper nursing tops!

I've never heard of breast feeding tops!?

I wear just normal clothes and pull my top up to feed. Isn't that what most people do? Although I do like the idea of wearing a vest underneath to cover your tummy. I am usually more conscious of that showing than my boobs! Might try that when it gets colder. Too hot at the moment to wear a top and a vest.
